The Equestrian Association of Malaysia (EAM)

The Equestrian Association of Malaysia is the governing body for the development and promotion of equestrian events in the country and represents the interest of Malaysian equestrian events in all matters concerned with the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI).

This includes liaison with the FEI Secretariat, representation at the FEI General Assembly, interpretation of International Rules and distribution of FEI bulletins. The EAM is also responsible for the conduct of international events held in the country under FEI rules. It also sanctions events and competitions held under FEI rules and responsible for the registration of horses and riders as well as the grading of horses.

The EAM also selects national riders and approves riders for overseas competitions. The EAM represents equestrian sports in the Olympic Council in Malaysia. It is also affiliated to the National Sports Council of Malaysia and is a member of the Malaysian Equine Council.
